After several duds, I finally decided to do some still life. Promengranates are in season now, and so I bought a case of them. Such interesting fruit to paint - round yet angular. The basket is woven sweetgrass that I brought back from Charleston.
There is something exhilarating about painting – the whole creative process, the learnings and the discoveries, and always – the challenges. I started painting in watercolour when the children were leaving home. A few years later, my artist mother suggested oils, and it has become a passion. I share my journey with this blog as I stretch myself with the exhuberant intention of painting daily.

Oooh! We love this one! Freddie says he loves when you paint reds. Are we going to see you soon??
You did well in giving them shape.
They look nice and round. Good job.
Funny what you can find when you google pembroke Ontario marina -expecting to find info on the waterfront and finding an old friend instead.
Maybe our paths will cross as we are in the Ottawa Valley for two weeks over the holidays.
Your artwork is beautiful,
Giselle
