The early morning sun is a brilliant orange for a short time period, and burts through the trees to quench our soul. And I wanted to burst out the colours and paint this heat coming through the cool forest.
I remember Suzanne from Frank's workshop was always trying to rush out just before sunset there in San Miguel to try to catch the color of the light!!!
I think in the morning it's a promise and in the afternoon it's a blessing....
There is something exhilarating about painting – the whole creative process, the learnings and the discoveries, and always – the challenges. I started painting in watercolour when the children were leaving home. A few years later, my artist mother suggested oils, and it has become a passion. I share my journey with this blog as I stretch myself with the exhuberant intention of painting daily.
