Experimenting

Finally, after a long winter, we painted outside again. This little forest is actually a sugar maple bush and the shack is beside us. The fire was going, the syrup cooking and it was a wonderful way to get back into plein air. I plan to go back and paint the pails, or the shack.......
I tried two views, one on site, one at home...one has an light orange ground, the other quin magenta. I am still working on going stroke by stroke....it takes a lot of focus!

Marina congrats to you for getting outside even with some snow still on the ground. I too ventured out last week. Now we've had rain so I am chomping a the bit to get back outside. Can't wait to see the buckets.
You trees are lovely!
